About KARLISS HOMES
Karliss Homes was created by architect Conrad Karliss, combining his hospitality experience with a passion for residential architecture and landscape design. Our firm believes there are many similarities between the two building types, specifically, between a great hotel and a great home. Both spaces are for entertaining, relaxing, and creating a sanctuary away from day-to-day traffic and noise. The unique part of your home and what differentiates it from a hotel, is that you get to to grow within the space, change use of rooms and observe how light and views of the landscape transition throughout the seasons and years.
Architecture is only a part of the building process. At Karliss Homes, our work starts with a deep understanding of the client's vision and leverages relationships with artists, designers, craftsman, and builders used on both hotel and residential projects throughout the country. Conrad grew up in Southern California and from a young age worked on gardens with his father a landscape architect. This experience led to his approach on each project. He starts with the site and a goal of merging interior and exterior thus creating spaces that bring people closer to nature and into the landscape.
Ultimately, the home is built for the home owner and the relationship between the owner and architect greatly impacts the success of the project. We believe our ability to create lasting relationships with our clients is what makes us unique.
